MAINTENANCE

Outside of routine weekly cleaning, we also offer the following preventative and restorative maintenance services:

FILTER MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
Whether you have a DE Filter or a Cartridge Filter, your pool filter needs regular cleaning and maintenance. It is highly recommended that DE Filters are cleaned every 6 months and Cartridge Filters are cleaned every 3 months to ensure that your pool water remains clean and clear. Our filter technicians at Sunny Day Pools will completely disassemble your filter tank, thoroughly clean all internal elements, inspect them for damage, and replace parts as necessary.  As a Sunny Day Pools customer, your filter will be placed on our recurring maintenance schedule so that you can have peace of mind that your equipment is being well cared for.

SALT CELL CLEANING
The titanium plates in salt cells will slowly accumulate calcium mineral scaling. This needs to be periodically cleaned, because scaling and debris impede the ability of the salt cell to operate. Sunny Day Pools will regularly clean your salt cell to prevent premature failure.  Unfortunately, many people mistakenly think their cell is used up because the cell hasn't been thoroughly cleaned.

GREEN POOL CLEAN-UP
Unattended pools tend to grow algae. At Sunny Day Pools we have a dedicated team of experts who can clean your water without having to drain the whole pool. Using our Green-to-Clean Pool Service, we can help rehabilitate your pool water into sparkling clean water and have swimmers in the pool within a few days.  After your pool is clear, we highly suggest that you allow our pool cleaning professionals to maintain your pool on a weekly basis to prevent the same from happening again.

WATER CHANGE
Pool water that is too old or water that has not been maintained properly can damage the surface of your pool. Even well maintained pools need to be drained and refilled every 5-7 years. It is very important that a pool professional conducts a water change to prevent unnecessary sun, heat, or moisture damage to the pool surfaces and filtration systems.

POOL MASTIC
Pool mastic generally refers to the expansion seal located several inches from your in ground pool’s edge. This expansion seal is filled with mastic, a waterproof, putty-like adhesive used as a joint-sealer between concrete sections. The pool mastic seal is vital to the care of an in-ground pool because it prevents water from seeping between the pool and your decking, which can cause the surrounding concrete to crack. Pool mastic should be replaced when you notice the sealant in the expansion joint peeling or cracking.  Allow our professionals to help protect your investment by replacing your mastic when needed.

STONE SEALING
The decking material that surrounds the pool is highly subject to deterioration from the salt or chlorine used to disinfect pool water. Some of the most popular materials used to construct decking around pools are natural stone material such as flagstone, limestone, travertine or quartzite. All of these materials are vulnerable before sealant is applied, but once you regularly seal natural stone coping or brick it can hold up well under even the harshest conditions.  Allow us to help protect your investment by cleaning and sealing the stone surrounding your pool.
